Century Montessori Private Schools – learn more!
FORMAL UNIFORM IS REQUIRED for Remembrance Day Assembly for November 11, 2015
1994 was the first year Century Montessori Private School opened its doors to the Richmond Hill community. The school staff are dedicated professionals who create a nurturing, stimulating, and safe environment for your children. We welcome students from all over the world. All children from three-and-a-half years high school age are invited. Our schoolboys and schoolgirls get the highest-quality education and the tools for success and personal growth.
All of our students are far ahead of their peers whether in public or private school. Through our unique learning environment, we encourage your child to think critically and creatively, promote self-direction and self-leadership, and allow your child the freedom to pursue his or her own interests through gifted-style education.
On visiting Century Montessori Private School, having just opened in September 1994, we were warmly greeted by a competent and caring staff who took the time to explain the Montessori Method. We were particularly impressed by their ‘child focus’ approach and their genuine interest in the child as an individual. Both of our children attended Century Montessori Private School during the years 1994-2000 and without a doubt, we credit the Montessori Method and philosophy for giving them a strong foundation, academically, and Century for providing the environment in which self-esteem, self-worth and individual thought are valued. We truly believe that the positive early educational experience that Century Montessori Private School provided contributed significantly to their success.
My daughter started her education at Century Montessori Private School when she was 3 years old. We were extremely happy with the quality of education and the care our child received. She loved going to school…She particularly enjoyed the nature walks on the beautiful trail behind the Regent Campus. She attended the Yonge Campus the following school years. She looked forward to school every day. My friends and family were impressed with her ability in math, reading and writing. I really liked how the school introduced many interesting topics … She also enjoyed a great social life and made many friends. Her teachers were amazing and taught her so many things including good manners such as shaking people's hands to introduce yourself. My husband and I were very happy that we sent our daughter to Century Montessori Private School and understand why it has been voted the best private school in Richmond Hill for so many years!
Our sons have received a very strong foundation as a result of Century’s balanced program of academics, athletics, music and art, all in an environment of warmth and mutual respect. Century Montessori Private School provides an excellent service in the community and I know that many of the other parents who entrust the care and education of their children to your school share this sentiment. We would highly recommend the school to others. If we had to do it all over again, we would not change a thing!
It has been almost nine years since I enrolled my first child at Century Montessori Private Schools. Disillusioned with the regular school system, I began to search for alternatives for my daughter who was in grade 1 at the time…The rapport between you [administration], the staff and the students was so positive that I decided to enroll my daughter immediately…I can honestly say that it was the best decision I ever made!...I was also surprised to have her teachers stop me to let me know what had be done to help her be successful and how quickly they had been able to assess her, identify her needs, and present me with strategies that would help her meet those needs…Needless to say, when the time came for my other two children to start school, Century was our only choice. Your staff is to be commended for the work they do…they are dedicated to their students on all levels: academically, socially and emotionally. My three children enjoyed coming to school while at Century and developed a love of learning while there.
